At Makers, we believe that leadership isn't just built on results - it's built on truth. That's why, in the month of LGBTQIAPN+ pride, we decided to create a campaign to amplify the voices of CMOs who are part of this community and who, with courage, authenticity and strength, have reached the top without giving up who they really are.
The idea was born of a simple and powerful purpose: to give voice and visibility to leaders who, by proudly assuming their identity, inspire new generations and transform corporate environments into more inclusive, safe and humane spaces.
Four leaders accepted the invitation to share their journeys, pains, achievements and learnings. Real, unfiltered stories that show that the road to the top can - and should - be traveled by being who you are, in your entirety.
Raquel Arruda - Latin America Marketing Director at Shein
"Throughout my career, I've learned to be who I am, without erasing who I am."
Raquel brought to the campaign a testimony that is more than inspiration: it's a breath of fresh air for those who still feel they need to fit into molds that weren't made for them. Her presence represents the freedom to live and lead without hiding one's essence.
João Clark - Marketing & Growth Superintendent at Sicredi
The right support, at the right time, can transform not only a career, but the way someone sees themselves. João reminded us that diversity isn't a choice, it's a necessity. It's about creating spaces for talents to shine by being themselves, strengthening support networks that change destinies.
Renato Camargo - CMO at Pague Menos
Renato was the mind behind this initiative. With his sensitivity and strength, he inspired Makers to embrace this cause with the utmost care and responsibility. For him, the mission goes beyond visibility: it's about reaching those who are in decision-making positions and have the power to break cycles of exclusion and open paths for new talent.
Nathalia Torres - Marketing Director at Leo Madeiras
Nathalia brought truth, power and generosity by opening up her personal universe. Her speech is a milestone, not just because of what she says, but because of her strength to be who she is. She paved the way for other people to feel free to exist and lead without compromise.
More than a campaign, a reminder
From the top, we reach out.
To say that no one should have to hide who they are in order to grow.
That no one climbs the career ladder alone.
And that support, affection and recognition still make all the difference.
This Makers campaign is an invitation to reflection and action.
Watch. Feel it. Share.
Because leadership with truth changes everything.
